El Centro Cultural de Espa\u00f1a<\/strong> es una de las instituciones m\u00e1s din\u00e1micas en cuanto a cultura se refiere en Guatemala. Como parte de su apuesta por participar en la rehabilitaci\u00f3n del Centro Hist\u00f3rico, en junio del 2013, se traslada al edifico que ocup\u00f3 el Teatro Lux, un espacio patrimonial y ejemplo de la arquitectura art-deco de la d\u00e9cada de los a\u00f1os 30 del siglo pasado y que fuera importate para la cultura popular: fue el teatro m\u00e1s moderno y lujoso del pa\u00eds, tanto que se le llam\u00f3 el Palacio del Cine. El edifico fue inaugurado en marzo de 1936 con la proyecci\u00f3n de la pel\u00edcula mexicana \u201cAll\u00e1 en el rancho grande\u201d y su escenario vio desfilar a las m\u00e1s rutilantes estrellas del momento, como Libertad Lamarque, Sarita Montiel o Pedro Infante.<\/span><\/p>\n
