Nel suo lavoro utilizza performance, installazioni e video come mezzi di comunicazione per trasmettere i suoi dissensi socio-politici, patriarcali, migratori e di genere. Il suo lavoro mette in evidenza le questioni legate alla diaspora latinoamericana e la posizione delle donne in questi spazi politici. Díaz ha rappresentato il Guatemala alla London Design Biennale nel 2021. Ha presentato il suo lavoro anche al Centre Pompidou, alla Ex-Teresa Arte Actual, al Museo de Arte y Diseño Contemporáneo de Costa Rica e al Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Puerto Rico.

Futuros Invisibles es una obra que visibiliza la crítica situación ambiental del lago de Amatitlán, denunciando los altos niveles de Cianobacteria que amenazan el ecosistema y las comunidades que dependen de él. La artista imprime 40 yardas de tela impresas directamente con la cianobacteria que habita el lago de Amatitlán, un organismo vivo que simboliza y evidencia su grave contaminación. 

Al emplear la propia materia que deteriora el ecosistema, la instalación se convierte en testimonio vivo de la crisis ambiental. Su presencia revela lo invisible: aquello que suele permanecer oculto tanto bajo la superficie del agua como para las comunidades. La obra invita a reflexionar sobre la relación entre los seres humanos y el medio ambiente, transformando la denuncia en un espacio de encuentro, memoria y acción colectiva.

Invisible Futures is a work that brings visibility to the critical environmental situation of Lake Amatitlán, denouncing the high levels of cyanobacteria that threaten the ecosystem and the communities that depend on it. The artist prints 40 yards of fabric printed directly with cyanobacteria that inhabits Lake Amatitlán, a living organism that symbolizes and highlights its severe pollution. 

By using the very material that is damaging the ecosystem, the installation becomes a living testimony to the environmental crisis. Its presence reveals the invisible: that which usually remains hidden both beneath the surface of the water and from the communities. The work invites reflection on the relationship between human beings and the environment, transforming the denunciation into a space for encounter, memory, and collective action.
